Thank you Deb! The second and third photo are the same bottle. It has one large two toned spot on the side which was glazed only with "Hamada turquoise," the rest is from the firing.

Ray, it's really fun, but can be addictive, haha!

Thanks for sharing Kelly!  Someday I'll get to try a wood fired/soda firing.  There is a wood/soda kiln in Baltimore that can be rented and there a group of local potters that are hoping to rent it in spring 2016

Fired last weekend. 8 hours to cone six, 1.5 pounds of soda ash in a seven cubic foot kiln. All the pots get a dip in slip (1/2 Helmer kaolin, 1/2 neph sy). Liner glazes are either celadon or Malcolm Davis shino.
